Diaspora, Diversity, and Dialogue: Cross-Cultural Conversations on Art, Justice, and Sustainability


The Diaspora, Diversity and Dialogue: Cross-Cultural Conversations About Art, Justice, and Sustainability project aims to enable the growing Filipino-Canadian community in Vancouver to engage in an inter-cultural dialogue about the role of arts in community development; arts-based practices and solutions in addressing social justice issues; and trans-local/transnational perspectives on environmental sustainability through the lens provided in the paintings of artist Bert Monterona.

*PANCIT stands for Pilipino Artists Network for Community Integrative Training and is the newest art collective in the community formed from the art workshops facilitated by Bert Monterona from April till August 2012.
